Seungri from the group BIGBANG has been charged with an arrest warrant.
The Criminal Department 3 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office has filed Seungri (real name Lee Seunghyun) with an arrest warrant on the charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence, Compulsive Gambling, Violation of the Foreign Exchange Transaction Act, Violation of the Sexual Violence Act and prostitution and arranging prostitution.
Seungri was under police investigation since last year regarding the ‘Burning Sun scandal’ and various kinds of controversies. He withdrew from the group BIGBANG, terminated his contract with YG Entertainment and announced that he’d retire from the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, the police had requested for an arrest warrant back in May but was rejected. A new arrest warrant was filed due to the police in 8 months and an investigation to determine the warrant’s validity will be held at the Seoul Central District Court on the morning of the 13th.
