Actor Lee Jung-jae, whose four films have attracted 10 million viewers to get the modifier 'Quattro 10 million actor', will turn into an aide, while the icon of loveliness, Shin Min-ah will be transformed into a lawmaker. Expectations are high on what the two actors, who showed various charms through a number of works, will perform through 'Chief of Staff.'
"It's been 10 years since I did this," Lee Jung-jae said. "When I was given the scenario of 'Chief of Staff' I thought I should do this work. I was thinking that I should come back before it's too late, but I'm happy to be back as 'Chief of Staff.'”
"It's been a long time since I was filming a drama, and I thought of the old film site. I like the film site so much now that filming is easy and enjoyable. Above all, I like acting together with my seniors and fellow actors," he said, adding, "I like the film site because it’s fun, joyful and funnier than the script."
When we asked Shin Min-ah about her collaboration with Lee Jung-jae, she said, "It's my first time to act with Lee Jung-jae. I pay more attention because my senior's reactions and acting are serious and strong," adding, "I'm really getting a lot of help. I'm trying to concentrate as best I can for better expressions," she praised.
In addition, the nation's leading acting actors such as Lee Elijah, Kim Dong-joon, Jung Jin-young, Kim Gap-soo, Jung Woong-in and Lim Won-hee will boost their efforts.
"I didn't know that I'd meet with the director soon enough," said Lee Elijah, who has worked with director Kwak Jung-hwan for the third time after ‘Basketball’ and ‘Ms. Hammurabi’ adding, "I felt a lot of empathy in what the director was dealing with and when I was acting as an actress. The reason might be because of the director's work, but the writers, staff and actors, whom the director chose, have a great synergy. I'm happy and grateful to be with you again this time," she said.

On the 12th, Netflix officially announced that it will air 'Chief of Staff.' In addition, since 'Chief of Staff' has finalized the 10-episodes of Season 1 and Season 2 even before shooting, attention is focusing on what synergy the Netflix service and the season system will have.
Director Kwak Jung-hwan said, "The truth is that 'Chief of Staff' is a masterpiece that contains so much content that it can go as far as 20 episodes and 24 episodes. However, there was a situation that could not be done by pre-production. I thought it would be something like a live broadcast if we proceed as we had planned," he said, explaining that he was trying to increase the level of perfection by dividing it into a season system.
Kwak Jung-hwan then added, "Of course, Korea has difficulty with the season system. However, we were able to maintain 68 ours on site and 52 hours of working hours, and this time we ate breakfast for the first time in the morning and had the free time to read the script. We decided to do it because we thought we could improve the overall situation and completeness."
Along with director Kwak Jung-hwan's production, Lee Dae-il's meticulous development of the story, which boasts a high level of immersion adds support to the work. Writer Lee Dae-il's fast pace and the 10-episode encounter are expected to give viewers a fresh experience.
In response, director Kwak Jung-hwan said, "I was nervous when I first saw the scenario. The point was to make the rapid pace work well, and I think we did it well," he said. "I think there is a race between those who keep power not only in politics but also in everyday life and those who break it down. It has excitedly revived the competition and the tension that comes from the process."
"I was the only one who had to do well because all of the actors showed the best performances," said Kwak Jung-hwan. “And I did a good job. The more I film, the more interesting and attractive I feel," he said.
Meanwhile, 'Chief of Staff' will air for the first time at 11PM on April 14th.
