[Zenith News=Hyerin Lee] Actor Shin Sung-rok of the drama ‘Perfume’ expressed confidence in the romance comedy.
A production presentation for KBS2's new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Perfume’ was held at Ramada Hotel in Sindorim-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul, Thursday afternoon. Producer Kim Sang-hwi, actor Shin Sung-rok, actress Ko Won-hee, Cha Ye-ryeon, Ha Jae-sook and Kim Min-kyu attended the event.
'Perfume' is a drama that contains the story of a meeting between a middle aged woman who destroyed her family and who is in despair though she devoted her life to her family and a man who is perplexed because he didn't have enough courage to challenge to love.
Shin Sung-rok played Seo Yi-do, a genius designer who is creatively and delicately sick in the drama. Seo Yi-do is the best in Korea when it comes to his field, but behind him is a delicate character who is suffering from 52 kinds of phobias and 35 kinds of allergies.
On this day, in regards to 'Perfume', Shin Sung-rok said, "I was attracted to the director's god-like directing skills and story. It's good to tell a story all at once, but I liked the parts that were written in a way that was described in life. I made my decision because I thought the literary and musical aspects were incorporated into everyday stories and I could show them in a different way."
Regarding his challenge for romantic comedy, he said "I finally have the chance to show you," and "I felt burdened and nervous as the broadcasting time approached. But I should have played this role earlier. It was hard to digest the level of speaking which was like rapping, but it seemed to fit me well" he added confidently.
Meanwhile, KBS2's new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Perfume’ will air for the first time today (3rd) at 10PM.
