First of all, producer Kim Sang-hwi said "'Perfume' is the story of a man and a woman. It is a romantic comedy between a woman who is betrayed by her husband and her family which she was trying to protect and a man who couldn't confess his love since he didn't have enough courage. Previously, ‘Perfume’ had a hard time in the casting process. Ko Jun-hee had earlier confirmed her appearance as Min Ye-rin's character, but her appearance was canceled amid a rumor about Seungri. The male main character was also reported to be Eric or Kim Ji-seok, but Shin Sung-rok was finally cast.
Producer Kim Sang-hwi said, "There have been many things regarding castings. There had to be an agreement between the two sides. While I was thinking who would be the best, I came up with Shin Sung-rok. I met Ko Won-hee before at 'Strongest Deliveryman' by accident but she had a sense of humor, so I decided to cast her."
He added, "It's a roco that focuses on the two, but they collaborate well so we are enjoying filming. The cast now is very satisfying. It is a fresh card and a new combination. It may be unfamiliar at first, but I'm sure you can feel a different chemistry," expressing confidence.

Regarding the point of view, Ha Jae-sook said, "I hope you will focus on our title. There are five different scents. It's spectacular and fun on the surface, but I think it'll be a lot more fun if you focus on each characters' own scent and voice."
Producer Kim Sang-hwi said "Fashion has become an important culture, it has become an important part of self-identity, I thought I could do a fashion-related drama" adding that "I got help from top Korean brands and models since we have limited knowledge. We sought specific advice on how designers work, and the art team struggled too. Compared to the fashion show that appeared in the previous drama, I think it has definitely made progress. just looking at Shin Sung-rok's clothes, I think it will be another eye candy and fun."
Finally, Shin Sung-rok said of his ratings pledge, "I want to achieve 15% in order to be encouraged. I want to spray good perfumes to the viewers and try free hugs," adding, "When filming, actors and directors are all thinking about how it can look in a new way. Actually, I saw it in the editing room, and I thought it was very interesting. Please give us a lot of love."
Meanwhile, KBS2's new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Perfume’ will be aired for the first time today (3rd) at 10PM.
