[Zenith News=Hyerin Lee] Actress Choo Ja-hyun of the drama 'Arthdal Chronicles' attempted to transform herself as Song Joong-ki's mother.
Actress Choo Ja-hyun of tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Arthdal Chronicles' took the role of Asahon who is Song Joong-ki's mother and the woman who heralds the prelude to tragic fate.
'Arthdal Chronicles' depicts the fateful stories of heroes writing different legends in the ancient land of Arthdal.
In the drama, Choo Ja-hyun will play 'Asahon', a member of the white mountain family and will open the door for 'Arthdal Chronicles’. After giving birth to 'Eun-seom' (played by Song Joong-ki), Asahon is a tragic woman that wanders around with young Eun-seom for more than a decade and struggles against her tragic fate.
Choo Ja-hyun heralded her passionate acting as a noble from Asa family, acting up to her belief, leaving her fate to love and a strong mother who has a mother's instinct and warm love toward 'Eun-seom’.
In the released photo, Choo Ja-hyun appears riding a horse on a snowy field, reminding people of the goddess of the snow.
On the contrary, the scene in which she walks on the street with Eun-seom in her arm with an expression of shock been released, raising curiosity.
Choo Ja-hyun also expressed her excitement for her first shoot by choosing 'Arthdal Chronicles' as her return to dramas. Despite her return to the field for the first time in a long time, she is said to have aroused admiration at the scene by capturing images of Asahon with her solid acting skills, riding a horse through a rough mountain path and showing the character’s desperate feelings.
"Choo Ja-hyun performed a deep emotional performance that inspired the soul to Asahon from the first shoot which will open the start of 'Arthdal Chronicles," the production team of 'Arthdal Chronicles' said. Meanwhile, tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Arthdal Chronicles' will be aired for the first time on the 1st of June at following 'Confession’.
