[Zenith News=Jieun Oh] Actress Geum Sae-rok of the drama 'The Fiery Priest' revealed the behind story for the Eum Moon-suk parody.
Actress Geum Sae-rok and Zenith News met at the Zenith News office in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, on the 7th for an interview about the end of the SBS drama 'The Fiery Priest.'
The SBS drama 'The Fiery Priest' is an extreme comic investigative drama in which a hot-blooded Catholic priest and a fool detective meet in a murder case and begin a joint investigation. In the drama, Geum Sae-rok plays 'Seo Seung-ah', a rookie detective with a sense of justice.
On this day, Geum Sae-rok revealed a behind story for the parody of 'Jang Ryong' (Played by Eum Moon-suk), which was aired on the last episode of 'The Fiery Priest.' In the final episode of 'The Fiery Priest', Geum Sae-rok drew attention by imitating Jang Ryong's signature short hair, rustic color suits and the floundering steps.
Geum Sae-rok said "The original setting was to imitate the nun. But a day before the shoot, it changed to 'Long-de (The nickname of Jang Ryong in the drama)’. Since I was running out of time and couldn't get much help, I borrowed the wig and clothes from him.”
She added "I thought it would be big for me because it was his clothes, but I was surprised that it fit just right. I think I am in a good shape", causing laughter.
In addition, she also said "I asked him to record it in a Long-de tone while I was on my way to the studio. He thankfully sent me about six recordings. I practiced while listening to the recording, and I tried to follow it as similar as possible while watching the drama in the car."
Meanwhile, 'The Fiery Priest' ended with a 22% viewership rating for the final episode (based on Nielsen Korea's paid platform).
