Q. You have finished the drama well. How do you feel?
I filmed the drama for three to four months, and I was very lucky to be working with good people. There were a lot of things that I was sad about for myself, but I'm glad I finished well. It's hard to be objective when you look at yourself. So it's true that I saw a lot of things that I didn’t feel good about. Especially, I felt sorry that I couldn't express the point where the character changes. But what I did well is that I finished it well anyway. I want to give myself compliments and encouragement. And there are some stunts that I worked with while filming the action scenes. Thanks to the good collaboration with them, the action was filmed nicely. I practiced a lot, but I'm glad that the scenes became more vivid thanks to their hard work,.
Q. The character had a unique set of psychometric abilities. How did you interpret and express it?
I thought he was a student who was no different from others. My special ability needed graphics and editing, so I tried not to overdo it. He was a bright character in the beginning of the drama, so I thought I shouldn't go too far in expressing his supernatural powers. I Rather tried to express it as a usual habit.
Q. I liked your chemistry with Shin Ye Eun. How did you feel while filming together?
It was really awkward at first (laughs). It was awkward because it was our first time seeing each other in person, but we met a lot before filming because of the drama. We can share the practice room because we’re in the same company. We became closer as we kept seeing each other and talking about the production. I think our collaboration was proportional to the amount of practice we did.
Q. I'm also curious about the behind story of your kiss scene.
It was very difficult (laughs). I wasn't good so I did what the director told me to do. I was in the position of being kissed by her in the first kiss scene, and after I became an adult, it was my role to do that. We were both shy so I followed the director's direction. I was embarrassed, but I did my best.
Q. How about acting together with the other actors?
We got along well. I spent the most of my time with Dasom who played as Jisoo and senior Kim Kwon who played Sung-mo. Kim Kwon and I were like real brothers. He gave me so much consideration. He led me well when I couldn't express the right emotions well. I also played around often with Dasom, so I think that's the thing that was expressed well in the drama.
Q. Have you looked up the viewers' responses? What are some memorable responses?
"It's better than I thought." Made me feel better. There are many people who don't know me yet as an actor so I don't think the expectations are high but I think it's a success if it was better than expected. There were some funny comments too. Judging from the ID, that person might be a GOT7 fan. The comment said "I've never seen him before. but he is okay." Thinking that my fans were trying to help me from places out of my view gave me laughter and encouragement.

Q. Unlike your previous works, you played a very bright character. Was there anything harder or better?
I can't choose, but I've gotten requests to play a lot of dark character roles. I didn't say I wanted to play this character, but I think I naturally built that career. I do like deep stuff a little bit more, so this work was a big attempt. I'm glad that I feel like I've found a different side to myself. I have a bright side too, but I didn't know that I could be this. I thought 'I am a member of GOT7 anyway.'
Q. You are constantly working on productions. I wonder what 'Actor Park Jin-young' will do in the future.
I loved being able to act whenever it was, and I still haven’t changed my mind about that. It's hard every time, but thankfully my role is getting bigger. I think it's a great blessing to be able to do act little by little over the past seven years. I'm greedy for both acting and music, and I want to do both. It's not an easy opportunity to have to do both. I'd like to do everything I can as much as I'm grateful for the opportunity. I don't have a goal for my future moves, but I think Park Jin-young's path will be created if I'm good at my work,
Q. What are your plans for the next work? Is there any genre you want to try?
I don't have any plans yet. I'm working on GOT7’s album so I'm focusing on that right now. If anybody calls me, I can work hard again. In this work, there were many genres such as thriller and action and all of them were fun. I've never done a sweet romance comedy before, so I'd like to do it if I have a chance. I like action and emotional stories, and I want to continue to challenge myself to many genres.
Q. What are the things you improved as an actor through this work?
I got to know that it is hard to carry out a long play. Like working on an album, there are so many people who are trying so hard from places you can’t see. I felt that everything was not just done by myself once again, and growing up means gaining more experience. I experienced carrying out the 16 episodes in one shot. I want to showcase something next time with better preparation. I don't feel satisfied with myself yet. I've gained a little bit of confidence compared to the beginning, so I think I can do better next time?
Q. What are the goals you want to achieve within this year?
My goal as an actor is to develop myself for the next step. I'll read a lot, watch a lot of movies, and work hard on body training to improve myself. I want to do well for my next works after making those improvements. As a person, I want to finish this year with a healthy mind. As a singer, an album will be released, and a tour will begin in June. Thankfully, I have fans all over the world, so I want to prepare well for the tour and show you a good performance as a singer.
