[Zenith News=Byeon Jinhee] A glorious spring came to N.Flying. Although they have been through many ups and downs since their debut in 2015, it is only now time for them to shine in front of the public. Members Lee Seung-hyub, Cha Hun, Kim Jae-hyun and Yoo Hwe-seung will mark the Act 2 of their shining life, just like their new album name 'Spring Memories'.
Zenith News and band N.Flying met at a cafe in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-su, Seoul, for an interview to mark the release of their new album 'Spring Memories'. "I'm so happy that I've released my own song and a mini-album that contains the members' thoughts" said Lee Seung-hyub, starting with his upbeat thoughts on comeback.
Lee Seung-hyub's self-composed song, 'Spring Memories' is a song that expresses various aspects of love that go well with the warm spring. The song tells a story of lovers sharing a sweet spring day that was so dazzling, and sometimes faced with a bitter moment of longing for the old spring, and developing their love for one another.
"If I tell you the good thing about this song, I think it has the power to make a normal day special. That's what I felt. When I normally go out to eat, I just see a view of the Yeongdong Bridge but listening to this song make it feel special" said Yoo Hwe-seung.
"I wanted to write the lyrics about the shining spring. I was thinking about a theme, and our PD proposed 'Spring Memories' as the name of the song and I wrote the lyrics because I thought it was very good. I completed the lyrics by sharing opinions with the members" said Lee Seung-hyub.

Along with the release of the new album, N.Flying is also set to hold a solo concert. They will hold the annual project solo concert 'N.Flying Fly High Project Note 3' at MUV Hall in Seogyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, at 8 p.m. on the 27th of April. The tickets were sold out, proving their popularity.
"I'm preparing for the concert as I think of the people who are waiting and looking forwards to it. I'm working hard to live up to their anticipation of how excited they are to wait for the concert after buying their ticket. As usual, I think it will be a fun performance this time" Yoo Hwe-seung said.
"Originally, 'N.Flying FLY HIGH PROJECT' is where we show our new song before it's released. This time, we had to hold a concert after the song was released due to time. Instead, the live system is difficult on music shows, so I'm going to only focus on the live performance. It will be great because you can feel our music directly" said Lee Seung-hyub.
In fact, N.Flying was not a band that had been in the spotlight since their debut. They drew attention with the addition of Yoo Hwe-seung, who starred in Mnet's 'Produce 101 Season 2' and began to draw attention little by little with the unusual promotion of 'Hot Potato'. When Kwon Kwang-jin quit the band over controversy with fans, they had a hard time but after 'Rooftop' became successful, they took first place for the first time on a music program since their debut.
"After winning first place, the many things we did came to mind. It was a feeling that I felt for the first time. I thought a lot about the members, co-workers at the company, and my family. Everyone always cheered for me. I cried a lot as those thoughts passed by in my head. Speaking of a behind story, I hugged a friend named Ro Woon of boy goup SF9. I put my chin on the shoulder of a very tall friend, and it seemed like I was sobbing too much (laughs). I cried a lot because Ro Woon hugged me and consoled me" said Kim Jae-hyun.
We were curious about what happened to the members' daily lives before and after 'Rooftop', which was the turning point of N.Flying. Given the heightened public interest, they seemed to have felt burdened as they prepared their next song.
"In the case of a band, the live system is difficult, so it's not easy to participate in events. We didn't have many schedules like that, but we've had a lot of events since 'Rooftop' did well. I really wanted to go to university festivals, so I was very happy to be invited. I'm glad that many people are curious about our live performance. People around me ask a lot about the pressure. I was so happy whenever the rank went up, and I think it was the starting point for N.Flying move further. But the members didn't make their emotions look obvious. I asked them why, then they said they couldn't just like it because they didn't want me to feel pressured. While listening to what people around me say, I would feel 'Am I feeling pressured?', but when I work, I tried not to think about it. It is not true that there is no pressure at all, but the pressure shouldn't interfere with the next works" said Lee Seung-hyub.
"I'm trying to say greet people better than before, and trying to behave everyday. A lot of people got to know about N.Flying, so if we don't work hard, they'll get a bad impression. I actually tried to practice harder and speak and act more properly. That's a little bit of a change" said Kim Jae-hyun.

When you think of the early N.Flying days, you can think of an energetic song called 'Hot Potato'. N.Flying, an intensely high-pitched and ebullient band, is now winning the hearts of the public with their comforting, empathetic music.
"'Rooftop' was first played through Soundcloud. The producer listened to the song at a performance and liked it, so we suddenly got to do promotions. I think I did another song like my self-produced song since it got good responses" said Lee Seung-hyub.
"I don't think N.Flying changed genre, but rather 'we know how to sing like this too'. So we always put in songs which are opposite to the title song in the album. All the songs in 'Spring Memories' are different genres, so please continue to listen to them all" said Kim Jae-hyun.
"It also contains songs that are filled with our own spirit. I'm sure those who like songs with that vibe like that will like it. Personally, the song 'Preview' is a jazzy song. I was very excited and had fun playing it. It's a song that made me feel that I can enjoy the jazz music genre well enough" said Cha Hun.
Now, we might be able to look forward to seeing N.Flying's consistency. Expectations are high on whether their new song 'Spring Memories' which came with a warm spring, will win the hearts of the public once again.
"I'd be so happy if we stayed consistent. But most of all, it's important for the members to become one and perform well with the fans just like how we have been doing so far. If we continue to do to music like this, I think they will like us like 'Rooftop'. We try to stay unchanged. We've never expected a numerical goal. The goal of this promotion is to satisfy our fans and satisfy those who know us through 'Rooftop'" said Lee Seung-hyub.
