[Zenith News=Byeon Jinhee] Lee Byung-gon, a member of C9BOYZ, apologized for his past controversies.
On the 3rd at midnight, C9 Entertainment released their last member, BX, through C9BOYZ(provisional name)'s official SNS. BX is Lee Byung-gon, who previously made his face public for the first time through 'Mix Nine' and 'YG Jewelry Box'.
After the news of him joining C9BOYZ was revealed, Lee Byung-gon spoke on his SNS about the past controversies. He confessed "I was selected for the debut group of a broadcast program a year ago and was on a live broadcast with the members. When asked 'What graduation gift does your sister want to have?', I used the word 'Luxury bag'".
"To my dismay, I didn't think there was a problem with my words and actions even after the live show ended, and I disappointed many who supported me because of my ignorant remarks and actions. I wrote an apology with sincerity at the time, but I couldn't disclose it because of various circumstances" he said.
Lee Byung-gon apologized to the member's younger sister, members and everyone who must have been offended by what he said and did.
In addition, Lee Byung-gon said, "I've come to think more deeply about this issue and learned that I've been ignorant and lacking a lot while studying women's human rights issues. I am not good enough yet, but I will continue to study and learn and try harder to make sure that I don't disappoint everyone who supports me".
Meanwhile, C9BOYZ has confirmed its members as a five-member group, including Bae Jin-young, Yong-hee, Seung-hoon, Hyun-seok and BX, and is preparing to debut in the second half of this year.
